502 Bad Gateway (nginx)

Infos:

  • Used Zammad version: 5.0.x
  • Used Zammad installation type: package
  • Operating system: Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS (Focal Fossa)
  • Browser + version: Firefox and Edge

Expected behavior:

  • Zammad Login Page Loads

Actual behavior:

  • 502 Bad Gateway nginx

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

After configuring a new SSL certificate and updating the the available OS packages marked for update (not Zammad though), I’m getting the error below:

sudo nginx -t
nginx: the configuration file /etc/nginx/nginx.conf syntax is ok
nginx: configuration file /etc/nginx/nginx.conf test is successful

Running the curl command on the site gives this:

Any help would be appreciated as to what could possibly be causing this issue.

I ended up redeploying Zammad.
