Preparing packages for Zammad's Frontend Update

Hi,

I have a question about creating packages for Zammad. I noticed that you’re already preparing a new frontend version using Vue and TypeScript. I’m currently developing an advanced plugin that allows for managing resources assigned to individuals, such as computers, monitors, or entire workstations. We built this in the old version using CoffeeScript, and now I’m wondering if our work will soon become deprecated , requiring us to migrate everything to the new frontend.

My question is: Should I start creating the package for the new frontend version now, or should I wait until it is officially released?

(I’m sorry if I’ve mixed up the categories, but I wasn’t sure where to put it)

Yeah, there is a lot of migration work upcoming. The current idea is that the first release (7.0) with the new tech stack will contain primarily the agent and customer interface and the admin interface will follow later and that the old and the new app will run parallel for a while until it is stable. So there should be time later to migrate properly to the new tech stack.

Ok, thanks, and do you have a set date for the release of version 7.0?

nope, there is none yet.
