Hi all,
I built an open-source MCP server for Zammad, so Claude (or any MCP client) can work with a Zammad desk through the REST API.
Six tools
Four only read:
- Find tickets
- Read one ticket with every message in order
- A customer or company overview
- “Needs attention”: tickets with no owner, tickets waiting on you, overdue pending reminders, high priority
Two change things:
- Add an internal note (never shown to the customer)
- Assign a ticket, or change its state or priority
Safety
The two that change things only act after you confirm: the first call returns a plain summary and a one-time code, and nothing happens until the same request comes back with that code. No tool can write to a customer, and every change shows in the ticket’s history under the token’s user.
Try it
The repo has a Docker setup with a sample desk, so you can try it without touching a real instance. Apache-2.0: GitHub - askmojood/zammad-mcp: Mojood Connect demo: an MCP server for Zammad (helpdesk), with SAMPLE data and confirm-before-change writes · GitHub
I’d be glad to hear what you’d want an AI assistant to do on your desk, or what’s missing.
