Importing Old Email Conversations

I’m trying to import old email conversations from Outlook by moving them/forwarding them into a Zammad controlled inbox. What’s the best way to do that?

When I move multiple emails from a conversation into help@myaddress.com, Zammad creates multiple tickets, which need to be merged. Merged tickets end up on one ticket with messages out of order.

Has anyone found a good way to do this?

The best way to do this is to connect the mailbox in question to Zammad and the archive import.

The documentation handles it here:

I can also offer a video walkthrough through the whole setup if it helps.
This also works for subfolders.

Above method will automatically merge stuff that belongs into the same mail thread and thus is the best way to do it.

I’m trying to just transfer certain email conversations into Zammad though. I have emails from clients, emails from vendors, emails from websites (your otp code is…) etc. I don’t want them all in Zammad.

It seems moving client conversations into help@myadress.com by hand is the best way to do it? Merging is necessary, but I don’t necessarily need to move every message in, just the first message in a conversation, any messages with attachments, and the last one. That seems to be enough.

Also about being out of order, I just need to merge the tickets in the right order and it’s fine.

In my case I have more emails that I don’t want in Zammad than that I do.
