Zammad service outbound rule editing time we have get an error

  • Used Zammad version: 6.4.0-1733305108.f31bec8b
  • Used Zammad installation type: (source, package, docker-compose, …)
  • Operating system: Linux Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS
  • Browser + version: any

Expected behavior:

outbound editing time we got “connection reset by peer” error

Actual behavior:

Through the error Connection reset by peer
*

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

i have try to edit the outbound rule that time ,i have face the connection reset by peer error i can share the error " #<Errno::ECONNRESET: Connection reset by peer> "

    we have using zammad ticketing system used to solve or reply the customers queries through the mail but now we have facing above mentioned issues.
    please kindly check and resolve this issues.

Reply the customers mail that time mail not yet send from zammad mail.

  1. What are the SMTP settings pointing at in Zammad?
    1a) If it is a local SMTP relay, have you made any changes recently to allowed IPs or credentials?

Based on the error, it seems whatever you are using as an SMTP relay is closing the connection.

we have using SMTP protocol but now i am not able to edit it , that time error through out connection reset by peer.

I don’t know why the error comes.

please qive the steps or solution to resolve this issues.

Hello till now we have the issues are our sending mails are not send through the error message ,that error message i will share the above pic.

Then i am not able to change the outbound rule that time “connection reset by peer” error comes.

i am recently facing this issues , but i don’t make any changes from setting and also SMTP configurations.

Please kindly go through our problem then give me the solution to resolve this issues.

Just a reminder I am but a humble IT guy who likes this software. I am not affiliated with the project so I am not obliged to answer or resolve questions/issues.

The email channel should let you edit the settings after creation.

Can you post a picture of your email channel (with personal info obscured)?

Other items:

  1. Are you using a public email service or a local relay?
  2. Are you able to connect to said SMTP server from the same host as Zammad or any other hosts on your network? (Step 1/2 from the link below)

Based on the info you have provided so far, I cannot determine how your environment is setup at all.
