User select type variable works proper in triggered mails but not in text modules

Infos:

  • Used Zammad version: 4.1.0
  • Used Zammad installation type: (source, package, docker-compose, …)
  • Operating system: DEB 10
  • Browser + version: any

I.e. #{ticket.customer.myattribute.value} returns the proper value in triggered mails but not in text modules, there it returns ‘-’

Can you please help me understand how we can improve our documentation?

As per Variables — Zammad documentation we hint that variable values are scope relevant. This means if the attribute is not available at the moment you’re trying to use it, we will provide - as value instead.
