Upgrade from 4.0 to 6.0

  • Used Zammad version: 4.0
  • Used Zammad installation type: Package
  • Operating system: Centos 7.9.2009
  • Browser + version: Any
  • ElasticSearch Version 7.12.0 (Needed??)
  • PostGreSQL 9.2.4 (needed 9.3)

Expected behavior:

  • Upgrade from Zammad 4.0 to 5.0 then 6.0

Actual behavior:

  • Full of doubts

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  • I Need some kind of Guide to update to 6.0

Based on OS, PostGreSQL Version, Zammad Version, ElasticSearch Version

Is there any order to update? as far as I know I have to update to postgre to 9.3
does I need to update elasticsearch? besides updating ES do something else need to be updated?

My OS (centos 7.9) is Okay to update later to Zammad 6.0?

I’ll need to install GIT to install 5.0 zammad?
Already have link for Zammad 5.0 (to then upgrade to 6.0)

Some Advice? i’ll clone the actual server and work on a alternative server cause I know there will be errors…

The documentation of Zammad actually answers all these questions:

That is apart from the postgresql upgrade part.

If you’re worrying about upgrading right now anyway, you may want to consider switching to a current Debian or Ubuntu version.
CentOS 7 is fairly old and has limited time to live left.
