Trigger when field is empty

Hi,

I wanted a field that should be filled when the closing the ticket.

So I made a field called “summary” and tried to make a trigger which gives a notification when the ticket gets closed and the field is still empty.

But I can not check if the field is empty in the trigger.

Is there a workaround for that?

I tried setting a default value like ° and check on that but this gets not set when the ticket is created by mail.

The only workaround at the moment would be using the API.
But this will not help you in terms of Triggers.

As work around you can check if a specific tag is not set and then set it while doing your desired magic. :slight_smile:
