Hi all, is it possible to add a link for the ticktes to an external webpage on the right-hand menu bar:
http://example.com:3003/#{ticket.id}
Of course, the variable needs to be resolved.

Background: We need a print view for our contractors, since they want to print out the tickets and take them to their job site. We have a small node.js server which connects the api and prepare the print view, but the link in zammad is missing.
I’ve played a bit with Ojbects, but without success.

The only way I found is to add this link via trigger to the tickets as article. But I think it would be nicer to have it on the right menu bar where you find the ticket properties.

Thaks for any help.

You could maybe try this as a workaround. If the ticket has a value on the field it will show a link on the right side of the input field. You would need to set a default or something that the link is shown. Currently, there is no good solution for your use case.

Hey! I’ve been using Zammad in our support workflow, and I’ve recently started noticing a potential issue when working with media-heavy ticket responses. We often include short instructional videos created in free video editor for mac as part of ticket replies. These are exported as MP4 files and uploaded either as attachments or external links in responses. Issue I’m observing:

  • The preview thumbnail does not update immediately
  • The ticket still shows an older version of the file for some users
  • In a few cases, the attachment appears to load, but playback fails until a hard refresh is done

@alishawinson please do not hijack threads with your issues that do not fit. Create your own topic and make sure to use the template you’re provided.

alright I thought this is something related to tickets issue thats why I posted. I’ll create a separate thread

i would sugest you create a custom object (Text, URL).
Then create a tigger event that fires upon ticket creation and let it set your custom object with “https://yourwebserver/#{ticket.id}”
