[solved] Searchable User Objects

Hi, is it possible to set some of my custom User Objects to be searchable/indexed?

I.e. I have extra fields for ‘Boat Model’ and ‘Boat Serial Number’, and we wish to be able to search and easily find all customers with a certain model or find a customer by their serial number

Infos:

  • Used Zammad version: 2.8.x
  • Used Zammad installation source: package
  • Operating system: Ubuntu 16.04
  • Browser + version: Chrome

Expected behavior:

Search for a Boat Model or Serial number in the global search box, and it bring up any customers who have a matching value in either of the User Objects ‘boatmodel’ or ‘serialnumber’.

Actual behavior:

Search only searches Name, Ticket Title or contents

Sorry but this feature does work.
You can also search in custom objects (Zammad will send everything to elasticsearch).

Ensure that your elasticsearch is running and your index is up to date.

Thanks Marcel, correct, Elasticsearch is not working and that is why.
