[solved] LDAP Attribute for Room

  • Used Zammad version: 2.8.x
  • Used Zammad installation source: (source, package, …) APT
  • Operating system: Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
  • Browser + version: Chrome 71.0.3578.98

Is there a way to add Own Zammad Attributes to the LDAP Sync? I want the Roomnumber of a Person to be Synced to Zammad too, for now i try to sync it to the Notes Field, but a own Field like “Room” would be nice.

Regards

Dirk

Hey,

yes you actually can do this.

Just create an attribute in Admin - Objects - User and sync your ldap attribute with it.

The name of the object has to be the zammad attribute inside the ldap config.
The ldap attribute has to be the equivalent inside your directory service.

FYI: we’re doing the exact same thing with the “roomnumber” attribute (Active Directory).

cheers

Hey,

thanks, but i dont understand what you mean by: “The name of the object has to be the zammad attribute inside the ldap config.
The ldap attribute has to be the equivalent inside your directory service.”

Could give me an example or show me your Config?

Regards

Dirk
