We use an Exchange 2016 server and would like to pick up the mails via pop3

> Blockquote SSL\_connect returned=1 errno=0 state=SSLv3/TLS write client hello: wrong version number

Unfortunately, this error appears, what can I say?

Hey @tmueller,

i don’t know much about Exchange but “real” SSL POP3 should probably be on port 995.

Depends if you use SSL/STARTTLS.

Is Port 110 your unencrypted Port or the SSL port?
Sorry, but helping you is impossible with that information set.

110 is Exchange 2016 POP with STARTTLS

so it should be work with port 110 an ssl/starttls set to yes

but if set it to that port using pop3

> Blockquote
> SSL\_connect returned=1 errno=0 state=SSLv3/TLS write client hello: wrong version number

Problem has been solved

Exchange 2016 set authentication to secure login per default, which requires certificate and so on 🙂
