Infos:

  • Used Zammad version: 3.5.x
  • Used Zammad installation source: RPM
  • Operating system: CentOS7
  • Browser + version: Firefox 80.0

Question:

Unfortunately, it is not possible for me to change the required fields. In our case, we rarely have a customer’s full name. However, if we want to create a new Customer, it does not work because the name cannot be specified in full.

Is there a way to change the Firstname fields to an optional field?

Hey,

sorry, there’s no option to make those information optional without source code changes.
These changes aren’t update save.

I can’t suggest to do above, because it seems to be hard coded - scope of possible issues is unknown.
