Replying as Author / not as self

Infos:

  • Used Zammad version: 4.1.x
  • Used Zammad installation type: docker-compose
  • Operating system: Winows 10
  • Browser + version: Google Chrome

Expected behavior:

  • Reply to a thread, with multiple users, as myself so the response is seen as me.

Actual behavior:

  • When replying to a ticket, as myself, with one or more participants, I will show up as the original user who submitted the ticket in the thread.

User A submits a ticket, me user B, replies, but my reply shows up as user A. OR, User A submits a ticket, another user who is not me who is User B replies to User Aʻs ticket. Then me, User C, replies to the thread. But I show up as User A.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open ticket
  2. Type response
  3. Click update
  4. See my reply as the original author of the ticket.

That’s a very strange behaviour you describe but you are running a really old version of Zammad and should update that first before searching for a solution, maybe an update will solve it automatically and there are security reasons to update too.
