Question: number of objects, is there a limit?

  • Used Zammad version: 6.1 (Updated to 6.3.1 planned)

Has anyone experience with large numbers of objects.

We’re thinking about integrating some (or all) of our forms into zammad, so customers get a simple way of giving us all needed information, without writing everything into the text.
We have a number of use cases, which we have individual forms for.
The amount of needed information is just too big to be written into a single Text. (Example: New User - permissions, needed devices, phone number, needed software,…, and so on)
This way a customer will be shown only the needed fields.
I’ve already tested the intended behaviour.

I’m wondering, if zammad will get problems with too many objects?

Zammad itself not, but web browsers tend to hate too big HTML structures (which will be the case with tons of objects) so it might happen that your agents browser get more and more unresponsive.

Firefox prooved to be the “strongest” Browser in those scenarious, but it’s still a possible issue.

ok thanks

so I’ll try adding forms on our testserver one by one and see when (if) I’ll run into problems
