Purpose of "Limit Groups" settings in Notifications

What’s the exact purpose of the Limit Groups box in Profile > Notifications? I haven’t found it in the docs.


All unticket groups will cause Zammad not to send any notifications that regard those.
All ticket groups however will make Zammad notify you based on the above notification-settings.

To sum up: tickets for unchecked groups will not trigger an email notification, but will however show a desktop notification?

Yes, but only if it’s your ticket.
Sorry I was a bit fuzzled earlier. The option only affects anything but your tickets (where you are the owner).
