Actual Behavior

  • There is a noticeable slowdown in Zammad’s performance when any language other than German (Deutsch) is enabled. This affects the responsiveness of the UI and overall user experience.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Log into Zammad.
  2. Navigate to Settings and then to the Languages section.
  3. Enable a non-German language (e.g., English, Spanish, etc.).
  4. Navigate through various modules like Tickets, Settings, and Reports.
  5. Observe the increased load times and overall sluggish response compared to when German is used.

Zammad 5.2 is years old.
It’s terribly outdated and no longer supported.
Upgrade to Zammad 6.3 asap as you’re prune to security issues.

Make sure to read the release notes up front for breaking changes.

My apologies that was a typo, the zammad version is 6.3 (Zammad Version 6.3.0-1714376259.fc028a09.bookworm), not 5.2.

I think it’s something special on your system when this is a problem.
We never received such a problem and also from code perspective it make no sense.

Zammad translates from English to other languages, not from german to any other language.
