Own LDAP query at roles

Hello zammad professionals,

our idea is to define various roles in Zammad and automatically map users from AD to the correct role via LDAP query. Specific groups are associated with the roles.

However, during testing, we noticed that our own LDAP queries in the “Roles” area were overwritten or removed. Is it not possible to store your own LDAP queries in the “LDAP Group” field? If not, are there any workarounds?

No, you cannot define search filters in the role selection. You can only choose from the roles Zammad finds and offers for selection.

This is also pointed out in the ldap documentation. There is no workaround.
