New Ticket emails not sending to helpdesk agents randomly

Infos:

  • Used Zammad version: 5.1.x
  • Used Zammad installation type:
  • Operating system: Ubuntu
  • Browser + version: Microsoft Edge 102.0.1245.39

Expected behavior:

*All users in a group should receive email notifications when a new ticket is created

Actual behavior:

  • randomly some users in the groups will not receive ticket notification emails. The error we are seeing in Monitoring is * Channel: Email::Notification out Can’t use Channel::Driver::Smtp: #<SocketError: getaddrinfo: Temporary failure in name resolution>

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  • Happens randomly, believing it happens when the error above appears in the monitor section.

We have checked DNS on the server and that is set correctly. Not sure where else to look - We are hoping someone else has seen this error.

A quick Google search tells me this is the system function that does dns name resolution and the error indicates that you have a dns problem when this happens.
