# Memory usage keeps increasing and eventually crashes the server

Correct, but the Patch Version was also older (I think 7.0.X). At the moment we are on 7.1.2 (the 7.1.3 update is planned) I try to actively monitor the issue now and come back with more information. I had already noticed last week that the memory usage was slowly but steadily increasing.

At first sight it seems that 7.2 solved the issue.

Hi! We also upgraded to version 7.2 on Saturday. Since then, memory usage seems to have remained stable. Before the upgrade, it would increase by several gigabytes within just a few hours.

Thanks for the update. There will be more improvements coming for 7.3, such as [improved handling of attachments](https://github.com/zammad/zammad/commit/55b0d56dbe999808e060a01d86521226b02f610b) as well as reports.
