How to add additional ticket types to reporting/statistics?


We are currently also using the API to create tickets as described here:
However default type of the article is “note”. Unfortunately this is not tracked by the reporting/ticket statistics feature in Admin view.
Switching the type to “web” would work, but this would overlap with statistics of tickets created through the Zammad web interface.
Is it possible to add another type like “API” with e.g. rails console or similar?
Or is this not changeable without source change?
