Hide merge links

Infos:

  • Used Zammad version: 5.2.x
  • Used Zammad installation type: (package,self-hosted)
  • Operating system: Ubuntu 20
  • Browser + version: Firefox 105

Expected behavior:

  • One ticket is merged into another
  • A link between the two tickets is created but hidden in the UI

Actual behavior:

  • One ticket is merged into another
  • A link between the two tickets is created but you can see every merge link

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  • Merge one ticket into another
  • Check the ticket that contains the newly merged articles

Additional info:

We are coming from OTRS and migrated to Zammad just recently.

In OTRS merges also created a link between two tickets, but on the ticket that received the merge, merge links are hidden. This is very useful for us because we have long lasting projects that over time can easily contain 20 or more merges, but they also have child tickets for easier handling.

However, because merge links are not hidden and are not differentiated between “regular” tickets if we don’t know the name of the wanted tickets we have to hover over every link to see if it is merged or not. Here’s an example image:

Is there any way to disable or hide these links so that we can navigate through our projects more clearly?

No there’s not. Use the “X” on the right to remove the link and you’re good to go.
