FR: Subscription to Knowledgebase Articles

Registered users should be able to “subscribe” to a KB article in such a way that they are informed by e-mail of changes/extensions to the KB article.
Background: we use the KB to publish a wide variety of security advices for our customers. Currently, the only way to inform customers is that we send an email to those customers who have a suitable ticket (tags use) on the topic. Customers without a ticket cannot be reached. A subscription function, so that the contact person could subscribe to the KB articles that interest him, would simplify the procedure immensely.

  • only logged in users
  • toggle subscribe/unsubscribe
  • mail send may be event driver/completly automatic after every change (could result in many mails after each saving of article) or time driven once in the night
