Files attached to knowledge base articles won't be indexed

Infos:

Used Zammad version: 3.1.0
Used Zammad installation source: ubuntu package (source, package, …)
Operating system: Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS
Browser + version: Firefox 68.2.0esr

Expected behavior:

Files attached to Knowledge Base articles will be indexed in order to make them searchable.

Actual behavior:

Files attached to Knowledge Base articles won’t be indexed.

In principle Elasticsearch (5.6) does work fine: content of KB articles, ticket articles and files attached to ticket articles get indexed.

File file types are not indexed or does it generally e.g. not index text files as well?

Neither an OCRed pdf file nor a text file got indexed after being attached to a KB article. Then I attached these files to a ticket and they got indexed immediately.
