External data source field seems to be changed automatically

  • Used Zammad version: 6.3.1
  • Used Zammad installation type: package
  • Operating system: Debian 12
  • Browser + version: Safari (newest)

Expected behavior:

  • Opening a ticket shouldn’t do something with an external data source field

Actual behavior:

  • When I open a ticket, the external data source field—which hadn’t been set before—shows “Search…” (i.e. I don’t select any option here!), but still I see the ‘changed’ dots next to it.
  • I can’t just close the ticket, because it says there were changes made to the ticket
  • Clicking on the button to discard the unsaved changes doesn’t do anything

That seems to be it – but since it’s been known since almost a year it might not affect too many people (or only few people use external data source fields). Looking forward to the fix! :slight_smile:
