You can also setup triggers to send via your OAuth connected email address. It’s a lot more work but when your situation requires that you send through one email address it is the only solution.

Could you share the screenshots of how you set up the triggers, by censoring the relevant parts with personal data?

Just to keep it for my documentation in case I need it.

Thanks

You’re right — my mistake was referring to it as _exclusive_ support for SMTP or MTA. It would be more accurate to describe it as: given the current state of things.

It appears that HVE can’t be configured because (as MrGeneration confirmed in another post suggesting that it’s a bad idea to use it), Zammad does an SMTP test to an external address that is hard-coded, so even though HVE would work for us, we aren’t allowed to configure it. Was that solution tested before it was suggested, or am I missing something?

That is a known situation and will be tackled in an upcoming release (no ETA yet):

An Exchange Connector might be a technical solution as workaround. At least if you have to send mails to external too (which you want if customers have access to the UI)

That means administrative overhead of course.

DISCLAIMER: **USE AT YOUR OWN RISK**

I created a package for a self-hosted package installation of Zammad to change the SMTP test receiving e-mail address:

> **[Itdidactics-HVEEmail](https://codeberg.org/antonionardella/Itdidactics-HVEEmail)**
>
> IT didactics Change SMTP Notification Test E-Mail for Zammad 6.x.x

This way I could set up HVE with Zammad 6.5.x

I’ve developed a package that allows you to use OAuth for email notifications. This can be solved through package development. But it takes days to build a working solution suitable for enterprise use.

Hello, my solution is diffrent. You set it up on the configuration page and not in the code. So you will have a third option showing up. Not only local mta and smtp

JFI I have prepared [this PR](https://github.com/zammad/zammad/pull/6104) that brings Microsoft Graph Email notification channel functionality. You can get it as addon, as long as it doesn’t belong to the standard Zammad suite [here](https://cloud.smrg.de/index.php/s/ZXYZ62jnYWFznwk).

All Open Source, for you to read and understand if needed. Tested and verified working with Zammad 7.0, use at your own risk though. It doesn’t solve this feature request entirely, but most likely gets rid of the biggest pain point I hope.
