What is your original issue/pain point you want to solve?
As the title says, reoccuring signatures in full quote will be automatically removed by our hosted Zammad instance, when answering or forwarding mails. -
Which are one or two concrete situations where this problem hurts the most?
Longer support Tickets are shared and worked on by several members of our support team.
To know who made the last change, the signatures are a good tool. And to not lose context of the problem, full quote is also needed. So now the team has to work around to make this possible. That costs valuable time. -
Why is it not solvable with the Zammad standard?
Because the Zammad support told us, it is an expected bahavior of Zammad, so that signatures are seen once in the outgoing article. A change of that behavior is not currently possible in a hosted environment. A possible solution would be, to make a feature request in the community, so in the case of getting enough likes, this request will become a part of the roadmap. So here we go… -
What is your expectation/what do you want to achieve?
As the opposite change was requested earlier by ohter people, we would like to have an option to deactivate this automation.
Normally, on every reply, a signature should be added; the current implementation is not in a good way. We are already working on this bug:
Maybe this was also a miscommunication from our Support.
They‘re most likely not aware, given the age of the linked issue.
Hopefully, we fixed/improved the situation. The idea is to first test it in the development version for some time, and then also a backport to stable, so stay tuned.
