Creating Ticket with no Owner sets the owner to Nicole Brown

When creating a Ticket with no owner, then an email is sent to the support group with following content saying that the owner is Nicole Braun:

Owner: Nicole Braun

We don’t have any User Nicole Brown, it seams to be a default user.

How can this missleading mail content be avoided?

  • Used Zammad version:
  • Used Zammad installation source: (source, package, …)
  • Operating system:
  • Browser + version:

Expected behavior:

  • Nicole Braun is not mentoined in the Email.

Actual behavior:

  • Nicole Braun exists in the email.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  • Create a new Ticket in Zammad for a group that you are member. Don’t add an owner. Leave owner empty (’-’).
  • Check the email you received for your group. You will see that the owner is Nicole Braun.

I’m afraid with so little information it’s impossible to help you.
Nicole Braun is a default user in every installation.

If I would have to guess I’d vote for a trigger being the reason.
But the ticket history might tell you more.
