What is your original issue/pain point you want to solve?
As admin I want search for users with their names. -
Which are one or two concrete situations where this problem hurts the most?
- In Admin > Users, the “Roles” filter list can be very long (many roles in our instance).
- When searching for a user, the long roles section pushes the results far below the fold, forcing admins to scroll every time to view results.

Why is it not solvable with the Zammad standard?
It is not possible. -
What is your expectation/what do you want to achieve?
- The Roles filter is collapsed by default when performing or after executing a search (or remember last state).
- Expand on click to show all role options.
When searching for users this will prevent excessive vertical scrolling and allow admins to see user search results immediately.
Zammad environment:
- concurrent agent count: a few hundreds
- tickets a day: 40 to 50
- What roles/people are involved: Admins
