Change Ticket Hook in production system


I just wanted to ask if it is safe to change the ticket hook in a productive system, or will answers to tickets create new tickets after this?

Unfortunately I left the standard Ticket# and would like to change it to CompanyName#
Or is it possible to set some kind of alias so that all Ticket# tickets will work until they’re closed?

Yes and no.
Zammad might not be able to recognize ticket follow ups from before that change.

Other than that, afterwards it will work without issues.

Edit: Same applies for the ticket number format

okay I just changed it, and answereing to mail using the old Ticket#Number format works just fine for existing tickets, which are now Company#Number
