Blank Edit Knowledge Base

Infos:

  • Used Zammad version: 3.0
  • Used Zammad installation source: (source, package, …) package
  • Operating system: Ubuntu 18.04
  • Browser + version: Firefox (and Chrome, Safari)

Expected behavior:

  • Click Edit Knowledge Base Button and expect to see a screen wherein I can create or edit an article

Actual behavior:

  • Blank page is displayed with functional sidebar

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  • Turn on the Knowledge Base, go to default /help address, then click Edit Knowledge Base.

Any ideas on what would prevent the Edit screen from displaying at all?

  • Could you provide a screenshot?
  • Is CTRL+SHIT+R solving the issue? (so is it permanent)
  • Does a error appear within the developer console in console tab?
  • KB is enabled?

The default /help/en-us public page appears correctly, and the backend admin page also appears (it is enabled), but attempting to create an article displays like this:

The console does not show any errors, and force-reloading doesn’t change the output. A colleague also had the same result from their machine.

Can you please run zammad run r 'Cache.clear' and see if the problem persists?

Thanks for that. After running the command, I still see a blank screen when I click Edit from the public page. But now from the backend I am able to click on the Knowledge Base displayed in the left column and then get into the edit screens from there, which I was not able to do before.

The non-working link from the public page is: /#knowledge_base/1
The working link from the sidebar is: /#knowledge_base/1/locale/en-us

Oh! I see, yes that’s clearly a bug!
Thanks for telling us!
