# Add checklists to tickets via triggers

Title: Add checklists to tickets via triggers
Thanks a lot for the checklists feature, it is really useful.
It would be really great if we can add checklists to tickets via triggers.
1. What is your original issue/pain point you want to solve?
Certain reoccuring tickets always need the same checklist.
2. Which are one or two concrete situations where this problem hurts the most?
For example, new employee process which always has the same steps which need to be done.
3. Why is it not solvable with the Zammad standard?
I am not able to select a checklist in the trigger creation.
4. What is your expectation/what do you want to achieve?
I want to be able to create a trigger which, if certain requirements are met, adds a checklist to a specific ticket.

I would join in here. A trigger to automatically attach checklists to tickets would be very helpful!

As a workaround, you can perform a webhook against the zammad server.
Add a trigger with “Ticket - Action: created” and a group where this trigger belongs to. Then create a webhook with own payload:

>
> Endpoint is /api/v1/checklists
>
> ```
You have to know the template id of your checklist. You can fetch this by doing a get request against the checklists endpoint to get a list of all checklist templates.

+1 assigning checklists as a trigger action is actually very handy. If a ticket subject contains keywords, the matching checklist could be attached automatically.

Nope, nothing new. Nothing in the changelog (as you could have checked). Zammad generally doesn’t communicate ETAs or roadmaps, so.

Checklists exist per ticket, but completion is not enforced and they are not tied to states.
**2) Which are one or two concrete situations where this problem hurts the most?**
Processes with mandatory steps per phase (e.g. intake questions before review, a review confirmation before closing) rely purely on agent discipline; steps get skipped.
**3) Why is it not solvable with the Zammad standard?**
Checklists are free-form per ticket; Core Workflow cannot require checklist completion for a state change, and triggers cannot manipulate checklists.
**4) What is your expectation/what do you want to achieve?**
Checklists that are bound to a ticket state and must be completed before the ticket can move on (per-state required checklists). In addition, triggers should be able to manipulate checklists (e.g. apply a checklist template or check off items) so the process logic can drive them automatically.
